The factors shaping the current state and the future of
retail real estate in Atlanta will be the subject of an upcoming panel
discussion at Emory University that will feature Ryan Rivera of Hartman Simons.
“Shop
Atlanta: What Shapes Our Retail?” will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, from
6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Emory University’s Goizueta Business
School. The panel discussion is part of the International Council of Shopping
Centers’ (ICSC) Next Generation series of programs; these events are
designed to give younger retail real estate professionals the opportunity to
network and learn more about the sector.
According to the event description, the
upcoming retail panel discussion “will provide a unique opportunity to obtain
valuable insight on the good, the challenged, and the exciting opportunities
that are helping shape the future of retail in Atlanta.”
In
addition to Rivera, the panelists will include Mike Cohn, executive vice president of Cousins Properties Inc.; Kristen Morris, vice president of
Jamestown; and Mark C. Toro,
managing partner of North American Properties. Professor Roy T. Black, director of the Goizueta Business School’s
real estate program, will be the moderator.
Hartman Simons and Weingarten Realty are sponsors of the
event.
Tickets are $25 for ICSC members and $40 for non-members if
purchased by Nov. 14. Prices increase to $40 for members and $55 for
non-members after that date. To register, visit here.
