Hartman Simons partner Benno Rothschild was quoted today in a Marketplace Morning Report story on Atlanta’s recovering housing market. Marketplace Morning Report airs each day during National Public Radio’s Morning Edition.
Rothschild was interviewed on the steps of the Fulton County Courthouse during a recent auction of foreclosed properties. He told reporter Noel King that the relatively small crowd of attendees — “a few dozen,” according to King — stood in stark contrast to several years ago.
“If you came down here in the mid winter in 2011, the whole steps would be covered,” Rothschild said. Fewer auction attendees and fewer properties to bid on is a sign of a rebounding housing market, Rothschild noted.
