Did you know that April 2 was National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day? If not, no worries! Your team at Hartman Simons was on top if it! From April 2 through April 30, Hartman Simons participated in the Bank of North Georgia ’s fourth annual peanut butter and jelly food drive. In addition to celebrating a classic American meal, the effort benefits 30 local food pantries located near the bank’s 42 branches.
We may be biased because Bank of North Georgia is a client, but Hartman Simons is extremely proud of the bank’s efforts to serve the community. The company recognized the need for local children to have access to nutritious lunches. Since the program’s inception in 2008, the bank has collected over six tons of PB&J! We are still waiting to hear this year’s number, but last year alone the bank collected nearly three tons of peanut butter and jelly during the drive. This is enough for over 46,000 sandwiches for children in the community.
A special thanks to the Bank of North Georgia for working to support programs that make our area a great place to live, work and play!
