We at Hartman Simons had a fantastic time at RECon earlier this week. It was great to see so many clients and members of the retail industry.
In today’s Four on Friday, we chat with partner Diane Lidz about her first trip to RECon. Thanks to Diane for her time, and have a happy Memorial Day weekend.
HS: First things first: how was Hartman Simon’s annual RECon party on Sunday night, and what did you think of the new venue?
Lidz: The party was fantastic. People were definitely talking about it (in a positive way) the next day. Being outdoors made the space feel larger, and the desert breeze was great. Kudos to the DJ, who kept the party lively.
HS: What was the overall mood of the industry at the show?
Being a RECon neophyte, I don’t have a basis of comparison, but the mood certainly seemed quite positive. Deals are happening again!
HS: What were your one or two big takeaways from this year’s convention?
Lidz: Now I have a sense of the tremendous scope of the convention and an even greater appreciation for the camaraderie among the partners of Hartman Simons and our great connections in the retail world.
HS: Perhaps most importantly: how do you plan to recover from RECon?
Lidz: I haven’t had time to think about it yet, but the upcoming holiday weekend should give me some time to relax.
