As diners continue to become more educated and sophisticated in their food choices, chef-driven restaurant concepts are booming throughout the country. In Atlanta, these restaurants have started to trickle to the suburbs as intown locations are hard to come by and demand is increasing. Sandy Springs has been especially hot for restauranteurs, attracting Urban Cookhouse and Hammocks Trading Co. North Buckhead is also receiving attention from both local and regional chefs, with Superica, bar taco and Tupelo Honey either opened or set to open within the next couple of months.
